hmm.... it depends on how you like to use your lens and what you wish to photograph.... usually the lower the focal length of the macro lens, the closer you also need to be to the subject you're photographing.... the 105 mm needs about 15 cm distance to the subject.... this is just perfect for my way to take photos and how i wish to express with my photos...... but of course i am not a macro expert..... but you will find some blogs about in the internet..... i hope i could help you a tiny little bit :-)
