The German Honor Society at my school asked me to design the back of the t-shirt for the group. They wanted Beethoven, they wanted BMWs, they wanted a whole bunch of stuff. We can only afford to print one color, so I had to figure out how to make it work. Luckily for me, everyone freaking LOVES this design. We just have to come up with a decent catchphrase to put on it.
Anybody know an awesome German noun that starts with 'W'? We've already got B(eethoven) M(aedchen) and we can't get behind a W.

This T-shirt design is impressive. Would you please tell me which German word that begins with "W" was included in the catchphrase that you and members of that German Honor Society wanted next to that design?
Mar 4th ReplyThis is late, but here's a word-suggestion: "Wirtschaftswunder"

We wound up not going with any catch phrase. We couldn't come to an agreement on anything that'd get approved by the committee, and in the long run he thought it'd detract from the design (not that I'm complaining :D)

I'm glad they showed appreciation for your artwork. Even though it doesn't have a German catch-phrase, it looks great without it.

Thanks. Honestly I'm not too fussed; we got the shirts printed and the composition took up the best space on the back. Anything else really would've been illegible.

Very well. I'm planning to get into the printing/t-shirt business, in some way. So your work (above) is inspiring to me, at least.

Good luck. Small-batch hand printing is the biggest ever-loving pain in the ass on the face of the planet. :)
