Apr 9th, 2011I've been writing poetry in earnest since 2001. I was the recipient of the 2010 Matthew Rocca Poetry Award (Deakin University, Australia) for my poem "Epoch" (published in Verandah25) at the time my second book, "Shooting Star: selected poems" (Lulu.com) was released.. My third book "Stolen Light: poems" (Lulu.com) is about to be launched. My first book "Offerings" (Lulu.com) came out in 2007. I have had numerous other works (both long verse and Japanese short form) appear in various publications, anthologies, and e-zines. I am also a traditional artist, and reside in Los Angeles County.

Apr 8th, 2011My name is Kay Peers.I am a general digital Canadian photographer, as well as a self taught makeup artist. I appreciate nature, and bad horror movies – I live in the prairies, make people in to zombies, and generally putter around internet sites lending knowledge, assistance and support where I can. I specialize in horror and macabre photography, and wish I was Tom Savini.
Apr 7th, 2011I'm a 39 year old author/editor for a new publishing company by the name of Divertir Publishing. I love many forms of art, music, literature and pet rocks. My dream is to ride dragons over France...just to frighten the Eiffel Tower. I'm a bit odd but that never stopped me and I'm driven about what I do...especially the dragons thing. I like turtles, the supernatural and tiny pumpkins on sticks in my flower arrangements. I practice a cross between Christianity and Native American tradition and I believe that everything Douglas Adams ever wrote is truth. Thank you for you support!

Jun 29th, 2007The more I paint and the more I discover that I have to learn. Each painting is a new beginning, a battle, a questioning ART is a long journey, with byways and breaks. Some people lose themselves along the road, some go straight ahead, some go back. But at the end we always realise that it's a neverending road. What can we say about my art? Unexpected? Bizarre? Intense? Disturbing? Certainly! I don't know if it is possible to describe my art. I would say that it is a mixture of several movements: surrealism, expressionism, impressionism etc. ^^ (if you have an idea I'd be curious to know how you would describe it) It is evolving like me. I can not say that there is an artist who really inspired me, it's true that I love Miro, Paul Klee, Dali and surrealism but I feel closer for now of Francis Bacon. My universe is made of a lot of imagination, contradictions, quirks, fun and mischief and a little of cynicism ^^ What prompts me to create is the emotions I feel, the things that make me giggle, that revolt me or that exasperate me, in short it's feeling that makes me feel alive! 6 years ago I never imagined that I would be painting a day! Life is mysterious and sometimes surprising. I switched from the computer to traditional painting through photography and all that because of small animated signatures on a forun hehe. I can only thank the teacher's workshop drawing because he pushed me to do oil paintings. I was terrified at the beginning because it was only 6 months that I was drawing and it was an unknown world for me but I fell in love very quickly! Now I prefer much more traditional painting compared to digital. Painting is so much more sensual! The smells, touch, freedom of movement I absolutely love it. :D I'll always have a place for digitalart and photography.

Apr 14th, 2011The Emperor is Afraid of Zhu Yufu Media sources report that Zhu Yufu, Poet and long-time human rights activist, dissident writer and democracy advocate, was charged with subversion in Hangzhou in January 2012 for acts including the composition and distribution of a poem urging citizens to create a freely chosen future for China. The poem, titled "It's Time" appears here and in translation by Andrew. It's time, people of China! It's time. The Square belongs to everyone. With your own two feet It's time to head to the Square and make your choice. It's time, people of China! It's time. A song belongs to everyone. From your own throat It's time to voice the song in your heart. It's time, people of China! It's time. China belongs to everyone. Of your own will It's time to choose what China shall be. Nov 17th, 2009I deal in secrets and track mysteries. I walk in cypher steps with backwards hair. Tell my stories to your children, but they won't bother to believe you. Hi. I'm Joe. I write music, 'poetry', flashfiction and all sorts of other things. I take photographs and develop my stuff at home using magic and a nearly worn-out mojo-hand. I love a good beer, and a decent fire. One cannot neglect the addition of a decent fire to any gathering. They're magical. I've only been with Shadowness a short time. My friend /Dehk Invited me here and I was quickly swallowed up. Look for me in your feeds, stealing chocolates, biting rhythms and biding my time.
