Based on my work in progress teases, I've been getting comments on what movie inspiration I've been working on, Sparctacus, Gladiator and even 300. The person in this piece is General Maximus of Gladiator!

This will be featured at the Hero Complex Gallery's "Oscar Legends" show in SomArts Cultural Center in San Francisco, Feb 15 2013! Address is 934 Brannan St. SF, CA 94103. If you're from the area, I highly recommend that you check it out!

The message behind the broken helm is Maximus' personal feeling of being shattered and betrayed by the traitor, Commodus. Now if you haven't seen Gladiator yet, you're probably not from this planet lol, kidding. I've watched this movie like a hundred times and never get tired of it! One of the BEST movies ever made!
