We were treated with a very beautiful sunset, and this picture does not give justice to its grandeur. The super cold winter has done a good job of killing off the weed beds on Lake Neely Henry to....but they'll be back in spring. I learned very quickly there are some remarkably beautiful areas in the Kaibab National Forest. Many that have just been driven past by who knows how many. A major storm system was on the move in that evening and I was very happy and content with the idea of shooting long exposures of the brooding clouds. I jokingly looked back behind me to the west and saw what I thought was an impenetrable wall of storm moving in. (A storm that had dropped 8 inches of snow less than 10 hours after this shot was taken.) I chuckled and said..."wouldn't it be a site if I got a piece of sun to pop through for a second and light those clouds up." Not even 3 minutes later, I got barely a minute of this light and it was gone as quick as it had appeared. I had the time to take 2 shots. Very much hope you enjoy this one...I sure enjoyed the moment. Mon, 28 Oct 2013 14:34:44 -0400
