Graphic Artist
I'm a self taught illustrator from the Philippines. My artworks usually focus on women with very long hair surrounded by flowers and vines. Other artworks depend on what I feel or what I have experienced. I do traditional and digital illustrations. I usually listen to music while I draw something because for me it helps a lot when I'm making details to my drawings. My dream is to become a childrens book illustrator. As of today, I'm still trying to find and learn more techniques in drawing to improve my illustrations. =) You can also find me here: Tumblr: http://nikkiradan.tumblr.com/ Behance: http://www.behance.net/nikkiradan

Nov 28thI believe in my in now, I believe in the imagination disinterested, I believe in the gaze, I believe in the sleepless nights, I believe in the all-seeing mirror, I believe in the inevitable martyrdom, I believe in the words soft, I believe in video games, I think of as the "time" flies, I believe in hatred as inner peace, I believe in laughter, I believe in the silences timely, I think ... I think it fails to write, In my friends, But never in the friends of my friends, I want to believe in them but not them, At times myself alone, In my most sinister desires, In the voices, In the sweetness of the strokes, In the gut, In the cold, In pure ideas, I believe in Ambrosia, a new White House, But mostly I think that I may not stop making believe, I think.

Aug 4thLowbrow is a widespread populist art movement with origins in the underground comix world, punk music, hot-rod street culture, and other subcultures. Lowbrow art often has a sense of humor - sometimes the humor is gleeful, sometimes impish, and sometimes it is a sarcastic comment. The single most common tactic that Lowbrow artists employ is to poke fun at convention. They know the "rules" of art, and consciously choose not to abide by them. If the test of time for legitimacy (as an artistic movement) means that Lowbrow speaks/spoke, in visual terms, to the millions of us who share a common cultural, symbolic language - albeit a "lower" or "middle" class, media-driven language - then, yes, Lowbrow is here to stay. Anthropologists will probably study Lowbrow in the future, to attempt to figure out late 20th and early 21st century U.S. societal influences.
