The Taoistic philosopher Zhuang-Zi once expressed his attitude towards life: "Leap into the boundless and make it your home!" I totally agree and thus chose it as my guiding principle!

Now, Henry Cartier-Bresson aptly provides a link between this Taoistic principle and photography: "Taking photographs (...) is a way of shouting, or freeing oneself, not of proving or asserting one's own originality. It is a way of life."

So, in short, I take pictures because I love to and I love to take pictures because they are manifestations of a particular simple and sensitive attitude towards life.

I hope you enjoy my photographs as much as I enjoy taking them.

      Hi Andrew! Yes, I've already experienced a warm welcome. Indeed, you could help me with one or two questions. :)
      1) The group system seems to work a bit different compared to dA. Is it possible to "join" groups or only to follow?
      2) How do I submit pictures to a group?
      I already tried the FAQ but wasn't able to find an answer and am a bit puzzled atm. So any help is much appreciated! :)

      Hi Florian
      the way the groups work on shadowness is quite simple as all you have to do is a pick one that interests you, from there you follow this group, as with submitting images this can only be done if you are a member, Joining a group on shadowness is not automatic so its then down to the admin/founder to decide who they want in their group.

      I see, thanks a lot for the info, Andrew! So, what in particular do I have to do to join L4P? :)
      (And just to make sure I get it right: in general, if I want to join a group I post a comment and ask the admins whether they accept me as a member, right?) Thanks in advance for your help. It's greatly appreciated.

      Hi Florian
      you can leave comments in the forum section of my group but in the meantime i have made you an admin of /love4photography, you don't have to do much except check to see if standards of quality are in line with the guidelines of love4photography as these co-incide with similar rules that i have in place over on
      deviant art .To add images to my group a max of 2 a day simply use the tag love4photography

      Ay caramba, I'm really honored, Andrew! I assure you I'll be very careful not to break anything. hehe I still have to learn how things are done here and get the hang of it...
      Btw, I couldn't tag any of my photos with "love4photography" yet, but when I was on the groups homepage there was a tile next to one of the photo-thumbnails asking me to submit an image, and that worked. :)
      You said I should check whether submissions to the group are standards-compliant. What do I do in case they don't? Delete them from the group and message the person? Remember, I better exercise total restraint as I am still a noob on SN. :)
