Apr 9th, 2011Hi! I'm Eldiardo de la Pena, a freelance graphic artist from the Philippines. I love to design and create stuffs that my intuitive faculty perceives. I’m a fan of simple and simplicity. When I tackle a topic, I don’t think I’m done until I’ve found the simplest way to look at it. I think of simplicity as a process. You can’t always start there, but you can find it or create more of it as you go. I also think of simplicity as a by-product. It happens when I find the elegant path or the simple truth. Sometimes I see simplicity as a means to an end — where the end is a simpler understanding or a simpler result or a simpler way to share. I have a BFA in Fine Art from the University of Hawaii where I studied Polynesian art history. I love travel, and culture, and cheesecakes. Her dream as a child was to become one of the illustrators of the Goosebumps book series. But now she became in love to comics, following Joshua Middleton's works. Out of her devote for comics, she created Devanta, that became a character member of Bayan Knights, a local comic book which is making a huge sound in Philippine comic scene lately. She's also the zealous artist behind most of First Move Creative Team’s artworks, has a keen eye for detail, colors and has an inexplicable love affair with vector art.
