I believe this was probably one of my first most intricate pictures I have ever done.
Definitively inspired by the Balrog from Lord of the Rings (love the movies and loved it). It also makes me think of Boulders Gate lol.

Anyway took a few hours of none stop working, I want to say about...6-7 maybe 8 hours because of so many interruptions and my computer crashing.

It started out as a lineart/sketch on paper, then it was copied and colored. Then scanned to my computer, from there I colored and made the background and everything else =3

None the less, even though it is close to the same thing as the Balrog it is not. It is a creature summoned by one of my characters (Mystearica) and is the father of another one (Dante). Though this is his true form and he may appear as a man at other times...
