Aug 2ndAbout the Artist Born in Cavite yet a pure Bulakenyo, Renz Marrione Bautsita is a personification of youth with a heart for art. Bautista is a Fine Arts major in Advertising student of Bulacan State University who has exemplified his skills in different fields. He has topped visual arts competitions like the 4th Cocolife Colors of Life Student Visual Arts Competition – Runner up (College category), 2011 National Student Art Competition (Art Petron) – Grand Prize (T-shirt design) and Semifinalist (Painting category), 43rd Shell National Students Art Competition (NSAC) – 5th honorable mention, 2010 Metrobank Art Design Excellence (MADE) – Semifinalist, and, a grandprize winner in the 1st Bulacan State University Painting Contest. Aside from his artistic excellence, Batista has contributed in BulSU’s official student publicaton, Pacesetter, as a member for 3 years and the Art Director for his last year. He has won Regional and Luzonwide press competitions in editorial cartooning and comic strip drawing.

Aug 31stI'm a self taught illustrator from the Philippines. My artworks usually focus on women with very long hair surrounded by flowers and vines. Other artworks depend on what I feel or what I have experienced. I do traditional and digital illustrations. I usually listen to music while I draw something because for me it helps a lot when I'm making details to my drawings. My dream is to become a childrens book illustrator. Aug 30thI'm 27 years old and of Laotian nationality. More about me: I fell in love with art since I was a child. Art has always been my strong subject at school. Sailor moon was my first inspiration to draw manga style. I have not posted my old works yet -- perhaps another day. Secondly, Final Fantasy (VII-VIII-X-XII-XIII) was my inspiration for digital art and fantasy characters. Recently, I have been in love with photography. I have a thirst for improvement. I am inspired not only by other artists but from life itself. I am inspired by people, textures, smells, sounds, all my senses seem to come alive when I draw. My drawings take me on an artistic journey of self discovery. I feel my soul awaken when I draw. GOD has given me a gift and it's a gift I hope to use to bring people closer together. It's a gift I hope to use to capture the beauty that's in this World. I don't want my drawings to simply be pictures drawn on pieces of paper - I want my drawings to be a celebration of life. I love to learn about people, I love to learn backgrounds, traditions, and cultures. I think this is why I became a portrait artist, it just seemed natural to me.
