It reminds me of the cover of The Economist quite some time ago. Several years ago, actually. We were talking about it in International Studies. I think it's a really interesting depiction of China and their growing power..
It's certainly an interesting subject, but in my opinion, China spreading its economy to other poorer countries like Africa and subsequently helping develop those countries more, is always a good thing. What difference it would make to the world; China being the new super power, I haven't a clue.
I'm not too aware of the relationship between China and developing countries, but if they're (developing coutnries that is) importing products from China then it could have negative effects on the local market (ie drive them out of business). I mean there are good and bad points to everything *shrug*
I wish I was allowed to take international studies still :( it's all so interesting! damnit!

It's a very interesting subject. Not sure if you've seen the 2 part documentary "The Chinese are Coming"?

No, I haven't seen it :) the title sounds very ominous though!
Feb 26th, 2011 ReplyThe economist cover looks more cute-sy I think, whereas in this one, it's a more obvious "attack" :) makes you think, doesn't it?

The Panda means well though :)
