Dec 7th ReplyBarberkas
you can Pm me if you like to keep your trade marks a secret :)
Dec 7th Replyravenmoondesign
Lol...no secrets here. I don't mind sharing my workflow.
Dec 7th ReplyI use Poser Pro 2012. It's the first version of Poser that uses subsurface scattering to get better looking skin. And absolutely love using SSS...no more plastic-looking characters, unless they're supposed to be.
I'll be looking forward to seeing your girl.
Barberkas
Thanks for the info..so intresting i didnt know you could render in poser ;)
Dec 8th Replyi am working on the girl as we speak, but its a lot harder then i thought to get the curves right..i normaly make monsters :)

Dec 12th ReplyBarberkas
I sort of gave up after 2 tries..its so hard moddeling the female...i need more studying ;)
Dec 13th Replyravenmoondesign
Ah, no worries. What you do produce, you do well with.
Dec 13th ReplyAnd you've done better than me...I've never modeled anything (don't really have the desire to, though). My female characters are built off of a pre-made base model.
So...at least you gave it a shot. Maybe after more studying, you'll get it. And if not, you're already great at monsters.
Barberkas
That is very kind of you! But even if you dont moddel ,the lighting and posses and skin color and overall comp are awesome ,something i hope to achieve to ;) ill just be following you arround and hope it rubs off :)
Dec 14th Replyravenmoondesign
Aww, thanks.
It's always nice to hear from a modeler that my artwork has worth. Sometimes I'm hesitant of telling modelers my artwork is created from pre-mades because there are so many who think that if it's not all modeled from scratch, it's not art. I have a broader more open-minded view that if the artist created any part of it and it brings feeling to the viewer (the artist included), then it's art.
If you have any questions on my techniques or anything, I'll be happy to answer the best I can.
Dec 14th ReplySo anyway...follow away!
Barberkas
I use to be a purist when it came to 3D ,i wanted everything to come from my hands and mind..but i realized that its not the means ,but the outcome that counts, its much better to focus on the outcome. most modelers i know lose them self's in details and getting every right ,the lose the big picture and spend months creating something ugly and out of balance..yep me 2 ;)
)
Dec 15th ReplyMost 3d models are not artists just slightly autistic ;)
So never let them tell you what you make is not art, they wouldnt know art if it would rape them in the ass..(little harsh statement there
ravenmoondesign
LOL...yeah I've learned not to let other people's opinions bother me. If I like what I create, that's all that matters.
