Originally created by (quickreaver) Christine Griffin. I re-interpreted her fantastic image of a Wolf standing in the midst of a forest gazing into the night with its mesmerizing stare. I tried to pull this off, so i hope you like it. But do yourslef a favor and go check out the original at her site. link here http://quickreaver.deviantart.com/art/A-Patient-Wolf-61312727

The original picture is stunning. Quickreaver's art is impressive and really beautifull. You did a great choice to re-interpret this picture.
Sep 13th, 2007 ReplyYou did a great job with the figures pose and expression. I really like how did the eyes and eyebrows, excelent stare like you wanted.
The painting is also very good, the skin tones are very good and I specially like the variation of tones you used. I would suggest just a little bit of red in the lips cause they seam to have the same color of the skin and the white part fo the eyes could have a bit of shadow too eehhe
The beard and hair looks prety good, and the little hairs in the edges work very well and give a more natural look.
The clothes look pretty nice. Great use of diferent tones in the clothes and great work with the folds.
The background seams like a photo to me if it isn't sorry about that. Either way it works pretty well with the figure.
Fantastic work! You're imprving in each picture!

thanks armilar. the background is and it isnt a photo. i started with a gradient and i texured it and then i used a brush that i have of trees and plants., and the tree is a photographic brush but the rest of it is various custom brushes used to make the night sky.
