The term "Pustevny" as the settlement in the saddle is far from Radhošť is from the Czech word "Poustevna" hermitage thus derived. And hermit really lived there in former times. Pustevny was a popular destination of hikers, who himself went towards Radhošť from the municipality Trojanovice, which lies at the foot of the mountain. The Mountain Club thought it necessary to build a hotel in Pustevny for hikers.

Later, other houses, such as for example the hotel followed Hotel Maměnka and Restaurant Libušín, which were built according to the design of the Slovak architect Dušan Jurkovič and which are until today the magnet for visitors of the Beskydy mountains. The architect was influenced by the folk architecture and the then dominant Art Nouveau. The mountain hut Maměnka and Baude Libušín, used today as a restaurant, are richly decorated shot wood dwellings. Even the edges of Schindeldachs look as if they were decorated with a tip. In 1995, the huts were raised Maměnka and Libušín to the national cultural monument.
