Kalliope Amorphous is an artist whose primary body of work has evolved into an exploration of the conceptual self-portrait photograph as a catalyst for exploring ideas of identity, gender, archetype and myth. Her work ranges from interpretations of pre-existing iconography to compositions meant purely to provoke and challenge perceptions and first impressions. Kalliope on her work: “I am not a photographer or a narcissist. I am an artist with a camera. I want to push the boundaries of what I define as “self” and “other” by playing with ideas of identity, emotion and the various visual interpretations and possibilities that exist within them.” Self-taught in photography, Kalliope takes an intuitive approach to composition and lighting and works without the aid of professional lighting or studio equipment. Makeup, costuming, photography, and post processing are all self-created. Kalliope is a recipient of the 2010 Julia Margaret Cameron award for self-portraiture photography. She has exhibited and published her work throughout the United States and internationally.

I'm very fond of the romantic theme illustration, dark and conceptual-like too. Hi, my name is Sokol Mehmeti. I've been creating 3D images sence january 2006. My first program was Caligari TrueSpace 6.6. Now I use Cinema 4D R10 and FinalRender Stage2 to make my images. And later on I've been learning Maya. I just love to work with 3D. You can make so many things. Only your imagination sets the limits. But I allso love to take photos. I use a Canon EOS 400D. I first discovered digital art back in 2005, but i didn't give it much attention till the beginning of 2006. Now it has become something i need to do in order to express my thoughts, my feelings, myself. I use Adobe Photoshop for my works. Sometimes i make sketches in pencil, scan them and continue working in the editing program. That makes it more original, and easier for me when it comes to expressing my ideas. My images usually say a lot about me.. so just open your eyes.
