It's actually really easy.
We just took silver plates--which were really skinny.
Drew a template of what we wanted
rubber cemented it onto the plate
and cut that out with a little saw.
Then we sanded the edges and wrapped it around a mandrel to form it.
Then we soldered it.

it sounds very easy when you say it, but I've never worked with metal in such a way, only wire.

You should play around with other metals.
