I have been wanting to do one of these for a while now. Decided to turn a 360 degree nightsky panorama that I had into a "little planet" projection. When I first did the panorama images I didn't capture enough data above the plane of the Milky Way in parts so it has lead to inevitable distortion of a few areas. Other than that I am pretty happy with how this has turned out. If you look closely you can see me on the horizon to the left of the central bulge of the Milky Way.
