I did go to college and take all the classes but I never really did anything with them, choosing to do things that had nothing at all to do with my artistic talent, such as being a bouncer in a bar. I've been many things through my life but I have always fallen back on artwork to relax and improve myself. I'd also like to note that all of my artwork is my own. All photos used, and drawings manipulated come from me, not from any stock photos or artwork of other artists.

Sep 25th, 2011I'm 27 years old and of Laotian nationality. More about me: I fell in love with art since I was a child. Art has always been my strong subject at school. Sailor moon was my first inspiration to draw manga style. I have not posted my old works yet -- perhaps another day. Secondly, Final Fantasy (VII-VIII-X-XII-XIII) was my inspiration for digital art and fantasy characters. Recently, I have been in love with photography. I have a thirst for improvement. Nov 21st, 2011Lowbrow is a widespread populist art movement with origins in the underground comix world, punk music, hot-rod street culture, and other subcultures. Lowbrow art often has a sense of humor - sometimes the humor is gleeful, sometimes impish, and sometimes it is a sarcastic comment. The single most common tactic that Lowbrow artists employ is to poke fun at convention. They know the "rules" of art, and consciously choose not to abide by them. If the test of time for legitimacy (as an artistic movement) means that Lowbrow speaks/spoke, in visual terms, to the millions of us who share a common cultural, symbolic language - albeit a "lower" or "middle" class, media-driven language - then, yes, Lowbrow is here to stay. Anthropologists will probably study Lowbrow in the future, to attempt to figure out late 20th and early 21st century U.S. societal influences.
May 18th, 2012For me photography is about the fun of finding the images and then the printing of the photographs. I find no difference in the cartoon style photography or the "serious" B&W, fine art style or photojournalism. It is the exploration of the world around me in photographs. A way of seeing and then communicating this to others through photography. You can find some of the more serious me on one of my blogs at "spacetimebeing.blogspot.ca" Started doing photography in 1970. Working mostly in black and doing all my own processing and printing. Ran a photography business in the 1980's and early 1990's. Now doing photography digitally, but going back to film every now and then. Also taking the first steps into digital art (have a very long way to go) with Poser, Hexagon, Bryce, and Daz. As a working photographer all commissions welcome.
