Green Iguana up a tree

This green iguana appeared on my parent guest farm in South Africa. They are certainly not native to South Africa so this iguana must have been kept illegally and then either escaped or was let free. The iguana was rescued with the concerted efforts of my family and the SPCA and has been taken in the the Johannesburg Zoo.

      Thanks. The poor lizard was stuck up there for a day as it was far to highfor us to get him. At his highest point, as per this photograph, he was almost 18 metres up.
