Hi all .. I'm Jurgen and a professional chef from Germany and currently living in Virginia, USA. Digital painting and dancing is my greatest passion and I also love photography.
What challenges have you found in your work?
The biggest challenge is getting more professional in my artwork .
How did you find Shadowness?
My friend /snowmask invited me and after that I got hooked here on SN.
What do you dislike about the art world?
I dislike very much the piracy .. you sit for hours or days on an image and somebody just steal your work and try to sell it over the net.

I'm Charles Kunkle Jr. also known as fraterchaos.
I mostly work in fractals and 3D digital art, lately working mostly in Mandelbulb 3D. I have also done work wit Apophysis, and Bryce, Daz Studio, and various other 3D software.
For myself, the biggest challenge is learning to use the software to achieve the effects I want. Its easy to make things that look good, but to have an idea before hand, and actually create that image can be a real challenge with fractal art, especially when one is not a mathematician.
I found Shadowness when I was invited by /DsyneGrafix who I was already aquainted with on DeviantArt.
I agree with JurgenDoe about piracy, it is very frustrating to work hard on something, feel that you finally have it perfected, then someone comes along and simply steals it and claims it as their own. I also dislike people who are unfairly critical. I don't mind constructive criticism at all, anything that helps me make better pieces is appreciated, but it seems there are some out there (have not met anyone like that here yet) hat simply delight in criticism for criticisms sake.

What challenges have you found in your work?
One of my biggest challenges is still getting more professional in art, I think. I’m not taking my photos for getting money, but getting a plenty of positive feedbacks. That’s why I keep my work. I mean, seeing somebody’s face who really like my pictures, or getting a praise, a good critique (for example here in shadowness) makes me absolutely delighted.
I would like to become a little bit more „popular” (uhm it’s not the perfect expression..) and share my work with more and more people.
How did you find Shadowness?
I found a blog-entry of some beautiful photos, so I thought I should sign up. well, here I am:)
What do you dislike about the art world?
I would like to comment this question only about the photography world.
What I find disgusting about it is the „My camera is so much better than yours, so I’m a better photographer than you” kind of standpoints. I think I don’t have to explain..
Some people forget the pure and pleasure of art. That is what I dislike about not only photography world, but the whole art-world.
