How important is art to you?
Art always was and will always be very important to me .. can't imagine a day without doing something .. because by art I can relax and meditate :)

My friend /snowmask invited me and after that I got hooked here on SN.

Hey-lo, I am Candy I am a Stay at home Mom with a Bachelor in Animation and Multimedia. I am living in Temecula, Ca. My kids and Husband are my priority but my art is my passion, I create something new everyday weather it is drawing a doodle for my kids to color or doing a complete piece out of my imagination. How important is art to you? My art helps keep me grounded, it is a stress reliever for me, I love what I do and I love to share it.

How did you find Shadowness? A friend on Deviantart posted a link in his journal and I decided to check it out and so far I am really enjoying it

Greetings all! 'Chuck' here...as the bio mentions - 22 years in the Air Force (now retired), Air Traffic Controller - now working @ DFW Intl Airport Texas. Married (wife Deborah is from Eastbourne England) two sons - one in the Air Force one a Language Student (mandarin). I get a kick out of re-building MG's (a car most of you might not know), building gas bikes and Scooters. Relative late come to Photography - by that I mean late to something other than point-shoot and live with the results. I find the setting, subject, light and the "why am I taking this shot" now to be as least as important as taking a picture of uncle Ralph and his dog Rufus.

At this point whatever I do, edit and present appeals to me - perhaps not others...like a tour of the Louvre .. I know little - but I know what I like.
I see works of pure art on this site..breath breathtakingly beautiful. And I know I want to improve - probably never to the levels show here, but in that direction.
"Art" to me: Photography, Theater, Music, Poetry, Cinema, Food, Sculpture, the beauty of a person (internal and external) or something my brain has not classified or thought of yet.
I am active in Community Theater, and can recognize or appreciate most other Art forms two out of three times. (that was humor..just in case it was missed).
I found this site via Google +...it acted like a kick or jump start to what I was doing at the moment. Thank you for being here and hosting, managing and baby sitting the group!! -

Greetings Capsuleers! Name's Phil (short for Philippe). Actually I am artist for my whole life, I started drawing and sculpting with plastiline etc. in kindergarden - and it never let me go ever since.

Art as a craft is quite an important thing for me, even though I don't have as much time for it as I would like to. More important for is art as a lifestyle, an attitude. For example how you recognize your environment - do you see the leaves flying along your path, or do you just the the grey ground beneath them? There is beauty in everything around us, we just need to look closely and see hurdles not as a problem, but a new way on your route. So I try to be creative, positive, constructive and selfconfident - all of that are the clues for living an artsy and non-linear life :) And I am happy to see there are many creative, stunning people around here.
So how did I manage to crash into shadowness? My former fellow student and dawg /Polycruncher told me about it, no clue how he came here ;)
And for now, it is hard to mark a surprising find, since I have seen so much in the past days I walk amongst the shadow(ness) - I guess the community itself is my latest amazing find. - JurgenDoe

The ARToVANCE project launched almost a year ago from Minnesota USA. It is a global art project. I plan to post some work from the project here. Every Friday, we get together and welcome the new members to Shadowness by featuring some artwork from members who've joined in the last week. This is a perfect place for everyone to come together each week and post a mini-bio so that everyone can get to know them. You can do this EVERY WEEK, if you like!
