Every Friday, we get together and welcome the new members to Shadowness by featuring some artwork from members who've joined in the last week. This is a perfect place for everyone to come together each week and post a mini-bio so that everyone can get to know them. You can do this EVERY WEEK, if you like! It helps keep the community close, and makes certain that no one slips through the cracks.

Each week, we have over 350 new members, so there could easily be 600 comments on each Meet and Greet article! Show some love on each other's profiles and artworks in a thoughtful and constructive way. Also, please answer the following questions as you tell the Shadowness Community a bit about who you are:

You can call me Famz, I'm a Graphic Designer and Photographer, typography, cat and nature lover :D I like meeting people from around the world and love cultures :)

What is your favourite type of season?
We basically have two seasons here only. Summer and rainy season, when it's not raining, it's usually hot, it's hot and overcast now, was raining today, but I love summer here in the Caribbean :D

How did you find Shadowness?
From my brother who showed me long ago, I came across the facebook fan page and got curious...was hooked since the day I joined :)

If you could choose anywhere in the world or universe to live, what would you choose?
I can't believe I don't even know how to answer my own question lol, I would love to travel all over, so maybe stay a while in a few places, I would be like a nomad :D I'd love to go to every continent and then decide on which one is my favourite :) and then ofcourse still try to figure out how to create a teleportation machine so I can travel within seconds lol

Hello all, thanks for the feature and the warm welcoming.

My name is Erik and I'm a student from Germany, and guess what, I'm not studying graphic design or art. It's just my hobby, which I have been doing since 2005 and I still love it. :)

My favorite type of season I must say is the summer. I love the warm feeling of the sun, the hot temperatures and being able to go out with just shirts and shorts.

How did I find shadowness? I don't know exactly. Actually it's all around the net lately, some of my designer friends were featured here and posted about it on their blogs and facebook pages. It looked pretty cool to me, so I decided to check it out.

If I could choose where to live, I'd say I want to stay home with my family and friends. :) Every other place is great for vacation, but I probably wouldn't want to live there forever.

Tell us a little about you.
I'm mainly a photographer, but I'm trying to learn other areas as well, such as drawing and painting. My drawings and paintings aren't quite up to Shadowness standards quite yet, so I've started with uploading my photos. The other stuff will come later.

What is your favourite type of season?
Summer. Why? I live in Sweden. Our summers are the only good season we have. Well, they are all nice in their own ways, but far from how the summers are. Swedish summers are the bomb.

How did you find Shadowness?
Someone at deviantART tipped me off on it. It took me a while before I dragged my lazy bum over here, but I'm happy I finally did.

If you could choose anywhere in the world or universe to live, what would you choose?
Too hard to pick! Sweden is great in some ways, so is South Africa and Italy and Norway and England and USA. I should horcrux my soul so it can stay in all those places at the same time.

I'm known online as Risky but my real name is Brianna, so feel free to call me either, or Bree if you'd like. I'm a digital artist, I specify in animals but I'm currently getting more skilled and comfortable in drawing humans as well. I'm an art student, majoring in animation (which I actually just finished my first lesson right now woohoo!)

My favorite season is summer. Actually its in between summer and fall. I love warm weather but fall colors are so pretty!

I had seen a few people mention it on deviantART and Furaffinity, but seeing as I'm losing interest in deviantART I've been trying out new websites to upload my art. Overall, Shadowness is the best website I've come across yet!

Thats a tough choice! I'd love to live in Australia though. I've wanted to go there for years and came really close to earning a trip there for academic achievements but financially, I was unable to! Bummer! =(

My name is Nadia van der Donk and I go by the name Redbuzzard. I am a wildlife and fantasy illustrator. My art is much inspired by the artist Terryl Whitlatch. Currently I am a student studying Graphic Design in my homecountry the Netherlands, In two years when I have finished this study I hope to get to study Illustration. My biggest dream is to study in San Fransisco at the art university.

My favorite season got to be Spring, I love it when the flowers get colorful and the green returns from the winter. And the more sunny days just make me happy.

I found Shadowness from fellow artists I had on deviantart, some suggested this place, since I lost interrest in Deviantart and was searching for a nicer community, I joined here, and this is the most amazing website so far in my opinion!

I think I would like to live anywhere where its calm and ofcourse between the nature. I don't like busy cities so much.

Tell us a little about you.

My name is Sarah Gale P. Pascual you can call me Gale. Currently I am a student studying Multimedia Art and Sciences in the Philippines. I am a lost artist ( I prefer to call myself like that ) , I like everything about art . I doodle all the time, when I feel inspired I took pictures that I really love the most. I don't paint well but Im willing to learn , Inshort I don't have a Forté like other artist out there (yet).

What is your favourite type of season?

My favorite season is Spring , The smell of a beautiful rose from the grass that flows through the wind.

How did you find Shadowness?

I found Shadowness from my friends! they said "Shadowness" was created for artists with pure passion and there works where like......I can't even describe how awesome they are . *speechless* and some of my friends doesn't have an account because they also said "It's for PROs only " but hey! I tried..and Im not that PRO haha so uhmm..yeah.

If you could choose anywhere in the world or universe to live, what would you choose?

I want to live in Japan! I always dream of wearing school uniform with blazer and tie + Bento for lunch! yummm. :D

Well, my name is Maria. I'm a completely self-taught artist, only picking up a pencil two years ago. I'm seventeen, and building a portfolio to get in a good art college. I'm pretty easy-going; I love looking at other people's work and I welcome suggestions or critiques on my own work.

-- What is your favourite type of season?

Definitely autumn! It's the season for knit sweaters and cuddling and hot tea, not to mention all the colors in nature!

-- How did you find Shadowness?

Honestly, I read it on someone's Deviant Art journal. They said Shadowness had a smaller community where people could support people on a more personal level. I'm all about being genuine and personal so this seemed like the place to be!

-- If you could choose anywhere in the world or universe to live, what would you choose?

I have no idea! Anywhere that's relatively warm and that's with the people I love is good for me.

- Tell us a little about you.

My name is Mel, and I'm a 28 year old animator, illustrator and 3d Stereoscopic compositor. I'm a college graduate with a BFA an animation and creative design, and have been working professionally in various aspects of film making since 2008, doing everything from storyboarding and 3D conversion for feature films to creating character design concepts, background illustrations and animation for television and online commercial applications alike. I'm highly adaptable in my skill sets, I work incredibly hard - and I love to create!

What is your favourite type of season?

Personally, I think I'm tied between summer and fall. I grew up in much more tropical weather then what I experience in my current location, so it was summer year-round. I adore warm weather, palm trees, blue sunny skies and the crisp salty breezes of the ocean. At the same time, however, since moving to the northern USA many years back, I have fallen head over heals with Fall, its illustrious colors, its harvest baked goodies and jaunty exploration of apple orchards and cider mills. To me, both seasons are just as invigorating in their own unique, wonderful ways.

How did you find Shadowness?

I was kindly invited by my fellow College for Creative Studies gal /Ifus. I actually hadn't heard of Shadowness prior to her introduction, so it was a very awesome surprise to find such a fantastic community of people here!

If you could choose anywhere in the world or universe to live, what would you choose?

My wonderful other half /vermillion42x and I have been eyeballing Portland, Oregon for years, to be honest ;) At the same time, however, I tend to be incredibly adaptive to my surroundings I could make a home just about anywhere and be happy, in the presence of my loved ones (and, of course, my trio of cantankerous cats! lol)

Hmmm...I like my country but I don't know what to say..I don't want to stay in one place because I like to travel so...I want to live anywhere in the world as long the inspirations exist in my head, it dosen't matter

My name is Anastasia I'm from Russia. I draw since my childhood, and eventually realized that I wanted to do only this. I - a graphic designer, and I’m currently writing my diploma. I love to draw animals and wildlife. I use different techniques in my work, traditional and digital, and I love to experiment with them.
I would like to meet interesting creative people here :D
What is your favourite type of season?
I like autumn. Winter in Russia is very cold, too hot in summer and spring is very dirty. The autumn for me is the most comfortable type of season, not too cold not too hot. And more, in the autumn when the leaves change the color and forest burns with gold light, it is truly beautiful sight. Did you know that autumn is such a global phenomenon that it is visible even from outer space?
How did you find Shadowness?
I saw a link to this site through one my familiar artist on Deviantart. This site is pleasantly surprised me with its design and quality of the exhibited works and I decided to show my own art here.
If you could choose anywhere in the world or universe to live, what would you choose?
I do not have a clear preference for where I would like to live. I live quite comfortably here in Russia. But I have a very old dream to have a house somewhere far away from cities and people and I would like to have many different animals there.

Hi my name is Harner Junco, Currently working as Senior Visual Merchandising Artist for a Supermarket Corporation here in the Philippines. Really like Digital Painting but because of work I fall for Graphic Designing which later i fell in love with. I really like to try different art mediums because it gives me freedom to explore my creativity. This site really is an inspiration for us artist.

We only got two seasons here in Philippines, summer and rainy season. I guess this both works for me.

From a co-worker. At first i thought it was deviantart wannabe site. But as I browse through arts it felt like whooah do i really belong here, i mean every pieces was amazing. from then on i signed up and become addicted to it.

I dont know but closest to willy wonkas factory would be nice
To visit i think is a good term, i think i choose europe and some asian countries

Hello, my name is Stephanie Fargo. I attend College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI and I'm finishing my last semester right now. I'm majoring in Illustration and minoring in Animation, I have a passion for creating worlds, characters and environments. I'm getting married in January to my wonderful fiance, and we will most likely live wherever I am accepted for a studio job in the entertainment business. :)

I love the fall. Halloween and the season itself are very dear to me, in a way that I love the colors, smells and foods surrounding it. And the fact that good things always have happened to me around this time. The only grandfather I knew when I was young would give me a painted pumpkin every Halloween until he passed away so pumpkins hold a very special place in my heart. Along with I have a lot of fond memories making Halloween cookies, decorating and trick or treating with my family.

I received an invite from my friend Clementine to come here. I was at first hesitant, I'm a member of many galleries and just one more was going to be too much I thought for the same thing. But this is NOT the same thing. And I keep coming back to check on things and upload. I love Shadowness's system and community!

I would live on a beach somewhere. I love the beach and the water. It's so beautiful, it's when I can absolutely be at peace. Peace and relaxation bring creativity and lets the mind open itself to all kinds of possibilities. ♥

Hi there, I'm Brittni Chelsi but I also go by just Britskei. I'm a high school student hoping to pursuit a career in wildlife illustration. I've fallen in love with working digitally in the summer of 2008, and it goes from there. I'm from Southern Canada, doing basic commission work while trying to improve my work as the years approach to college come near. Derek C Wicks is one of my inspirations, as well as many artist from the 1800's that has illustrated many old loup garuo pieces.

My favourite season is Autumn, mainly because I enjoy the nice cool weather and the changes of nature as winter approach. The beauty and tranquility of this season just fills my mind with more inspiration then ever.

I found this community from my good friend Redbuzzard who had suggested for me since deviantART was a blunt community for me. Never less I couldn't thank her enough because I'm having a fantastic time here.

If I could live anywhere in the world it would surely be in New York City or for sure I'd love to remain in Canada somewhere!

My favourite season is hard, because I like things about both Winter and Summer. Spring brings on not only my birthday but my allergies, so that one's kind of hard to take.
I suppose the New Zealand Summer is my favourite, though. It's warm enough, wet enough, and mild enough to enjoy completely.

I came across Shadowness because my good buddy Mel suggested it, and I love this site!

Where in the world would I live? Right here. New Zealand. I love this country with a passion.
