This shot I made is a mosaic build out of 56 separate shots. Enhanced the color and the contrast to bring more detail in it.
Also have a HD video of the moon, is liking flying to and over it :)
See on YouTube: http://youtu.be/5M9CBXuFKGE?hd=1
Most people think (and see) the moon as a grey moon. But actually the moon has color. It's just so much diffused and mixed, that it's not visible with the naked eye. Only after editing shots this becomes visible. Enhancing the colors in multiple steps (for example each time 15% enhancement and that 10 times) is bringing the colors. The different colors are mostly caused by different kind of minerals. More info and a manual on how to do it: http://www.colormoon.pt.to/

My moon shot are nothing like this one this ones amazing

Jah well, I did use a telescope
But a very basic one with a very basis camera. Took shots of parts of the moon, did stitch those together wit a freeware program. Result was a 10.000 pixel shot. And when reduced in size, it became rather sharp
But for the color enhancement I did use PS.

Thank you!!
It was kinda tricky to do this. Had to find the balance between enhancing the details but not overdoing it.
