This was my first (and probably the last) acrylic painting. I painted this mural on my youngest son's bedroom wall about 6 years ago (back then my 2 sons were sharing a bedroom). The painting is 4.5X3 ft. The dragon is from the book called "The Egg", written and illustrated by M.P. Robertson, as a reference. Two boys on the dragon's back are my sons, of course. =) I should have painted it on a canvas... just in case we decide to move.
I used my cheap digital camera to take this photo so it doesn't look very good... sorry.

Thank you, sis! It means so much to hear that from you!! Why would it be my last one? I've tried acrylics, watercolor, and coloring pencils in the past but none of them seem to give me the same excitement as pencil drawing does. I've always fascinated by light and shadow, and pencil drawings are all about that. Black and white, and so many shades of gray in between... using them to create texture and everything is, i found, very exciting. But, who knows, maybe I didn't feel excited about acrylic painting because I had to clean up the huge mess I made every time I finish painting for the day. It was too big of a project to take on for a beginner. :D

Ah yes, I bugged you about this already haven't I? It's just that you're so good at it! I understand perfectly about the mess part especially if you don't have your own space and a bunch of kids on top of it! lol

Kids did quite good job avoiding the area. I was the one making the most mess... I somehow managed step on paint and walked on my carpet one day, and other days I had all sorts of colored strands of hair and mustache... lol
