Apr 9th, 2011Hi! I'm Eldiardo de la Pena, a freelance graphic artist from the Philippines. I love to design and create stuffs that my intuitive faculty perceives. I’m a fan of simple and simplicity. When I tackle a topic, I don’t think I’m done until I’ve found the simplest way to look at it. I think of simplicity as a process. You can’t always start there, but you can find it or create more of it as you go. I also think of simplicity as a by-product. It happens when I find the elegant path or the simple truth. Sometimes I see simplicity as a means to an end — where the end is a simpler understanding or a simpler result or a simpler way to share. Sometimes I have to look backward to find simplicity — I can’t always find simple up front, but sometimes when I look back, it was there all along, either hidden among the chaos, or I just didn’t have the right lens. http://www.facebook.com/eldiardo http://www.facebook.com/AvantJardo http://www.twitter.com/eldiardo http://www.avantjardo.tumblr.com http://be.net/jardo http://www.arachdraid.blogspot.com http://www.jardo.weebly.com

Jul 16thThe end of 2010 alot of bad stuff happened to me and it kind of kicked my ass back in to drawing… I got told I could lose the use of my left arm off the back of a bad cycling accident in which I tore my Rotator Cuff 3 places, the main chunk of muscles and tendons that control the movement of your arm and parts of your shoulder. That was a massive warning to get back in to drawing. Shortly after the accident my Grandfather passed away due to ill health. Both these bad things became a huge catalyst to get back in to my natural talent… and in doing so helped me deal with the pain at the time of both incidents. My creativity stems from a young age when I used to pick up anything that could make a mark on paper. I have developed my creative skills starting with Fine Art in higher education and progressing to my degree subject, Graphic Design, in 2002. After graduating I pursued web/interactive design and code – I neglected my drawing for years! I feel stupid for doing that… if you see some of my old stuff from 1998 you would curse me… I’m trying to get back to my old standard! My drawing/illustration style is heavily influenced by Rolf Harris, Brian Wood, Ashley Wood, Mike Mignola, Frank Miller, Humberto Ramos, John Romita Jr, Jim Mahfood, Skottie Young, Will Barras, Duncan Jago (Mr. Jago) and many others. I dream of earning a living drawing :)

I'm a Singer/Song-writer/Guitarist and Composer of Music. It was a natural extension to become a Poet and a prolific Writer. I have some Art skills but nothing like you guys. All of the images with my poetry are created by consenting artists, except for "Basilica" which is mine, though I do have a few scrap pics. . I like to use the Art of active Artists to accompany my poetry (with permission and credits of course) so that everyone gets a little something. My chief pleasure is promoting every art and artist I'm also promoting Shadowness Art on my Facebook Pages, so if you get a chance please go by and "like" my Fan Page and "link" to my Poetry Page then feel free to browse the Artists and Poets there as well. Apr 5th, 2011Alassie was born in Granada (Spain) on August 15, 1985, in a family of seamstresses. She began her studies of Textile Art, where she learned great quantity of textile crafts as the woven of tapestries and carpets, natural dyeing, traditional silk-screen, basketry.. After studying pattern creation, fashion design and styling in the Art School of Granada, she decided that costume design was going to be her purpose. She moved to Barcelona where she took a Master in Costume Desing for Theater, Movies, Opera and TV at the Instituto Europeo di Desing. By July 2008, Alassie opened her blog: El Costurero Real (the Royal Tailor), thought at first to be a logbook of her works in design, but as it had a great acceptance and many visits it became her registered trademark. After appearing in some media, as the newspaper El Mundo, Granada Hoy, 20 Minutos, and many online media, she was awarded by the Junta de Andalucía for the Best Idea of Young Company 2009. By the Spring of 2009 she worked as costume designer for El Muro, the audiovisual adaptation from a comic by Alfonso Azpiri, what allowed her to join at last the cinematographic industry. Nowadays, moving between Granada and Barcelona, she has her own atelier which includes its production team, centred in costume design for audiovisual ends and the marketing of her collection.
