An old character of mine (bottom) paired with my interpretation of a friend's ( augustc4.deviantart.com ) Red Doll Army characters. Setting inspired by Friedrick's "cloister graveyard in the snow". 06/2006
Nice one, the skintones could be more variated though and the shadows on the skin should be more saturated because they actually make the skin look dirty. Nice composition :) I guess the girls won't live a long time in the snow... they need warm clothes :p
well done otherwise ;)
Thanks. Yeah, it feels a bit unfinished to me as well, but it took me a fair amount of time and kinda got tired. A side effect of how I work (slow and methodical?) which I'm trying to fix...
lol i love how appropriate their clothes are for the weather. that aside, the point of view is interesting, allowing for a dynamic view on the characters. it seems a bit odd that the juxtaposition is of a traditional bow and arrow user and a rifle user, but because the style is consistant between the two, it looks ok.
Like you mentioned, their clothes vs the weather, guns vs bows, new vs old... thats what is about. At least thats my story XD. Anyway, thanks for the comment :)

Thanks for the input. I'll work on that next time. More variation in skin tone, more saturated shadows, less clothing. I think I got it.
