leiko commented on Destinies Intertwined II
I hate you.
1.) How did you find this? Why does nature make itself interesting for you? Did you twist it by hand, or do you live in a bizarre part of the world?
2.) How is your timing so good? You managed to catch those flowers when the lighting was nice, and a spider was crawling across. Did you plant the spider?
3.) You are too good at too many things. It's not humanly possible. Are you an android?
Wroth
Heh, thanks Karen :]
Jul 25th, 2011 Reply1. Some were twisted already, and I added to it to make a whole bunch.
2. Moving the plants irritated the spider and he came out of hiding, they are not too uncommon. The title somewhat relates to him, since these spiders' whole worlds are on the flowers. A play perhaps on the biblical reference in Saffron Deluge with these same kind of flowers getting washed away.
3. I have too much angst to be a robot. :D

Angst? I told you I hated you, and you told me thanks and smiled o.O That seems like what an android who doesn't quite understand human emotions might do!
Jul 25th, 2011 ReplyI am not too familiar with the Bible. Please, tell me what happened to the saffron in the Bible.
Wroth
But I knew your hate was said with luv ♥

Saffron was a duel reference to the yellow color and the flowers and not to do with the the bible, Deluge was a reference to the flood myth of Noah - "The Deluge" pretty common subject for artwork, one of my favs is http://www.googleartproject.com/museums/tate/the-deluge-84 , Doré's is a close second http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Gustave_Dor%C3%A9_-_The_Holy_Bible_-_Plate_I,_The_Deluge.jpg Jul 25th, 2011 Replyleiko
I can see the parallel between the distraught spiders in a traumatized environment, and the members of Noah's arc during the deluge. Your decisions are making more sense to me, and thus making me hate you more for having such thought and concept on top of technique ;p
Jul 25th, 2011 ReplyI love the composition and flow of Danby's painting, but I love the bodily contortions and the tiger with the cub in her mouth of Doré's piece. Lovely, indeed.
And who says my hate is filled with luv o.O I think some artists will see what they want of the world, regardless of what anyone tells them! bah humbug.
