Project I did from my cognition class during the summer. Fairy tales for the most part were retold and had variation from country to country. However, Alice, being a modern fairy tale of sorts never had the opportunity to have many variants. I decided to play with the idea of an Asian Alice. The image is half "British" and half "Korean." See if you can find all the "British" and "Korean" details in the image.

That's actually a pretty cool idea. The way you distorted her face to get that interesting expression serves to bind those two hemispheres, even when her face is distinctly half-and-half. That's what strikes me about this piece - her face. It's quite a genius tactic.

Such a cute concept! I love it! The right side is of course Korean: green tea, cherry blossom, hanbok, Korean name and stamp, Kim, finally the traditional straight dark hair! This is a lot fun, Karen! :)
