- Artemisia Absinthium
My attempt at a steampunk version of the Green Fairy. Artemisia Absinthium is an ingredient in the liquor absinthe, and also used for flavouring in some other spirits and wines. The plant's leaves can be seen in the background of the painting.
The model is my good friend Katrine, (see her page here: http://nevermoria.deviantart.com/) who for a while now has been wondering how to become a cartoon character. So now she is, in a way. The other two models are her pet rats.
Naturally plenty of photo references were used.
Created entirely in Photoshop CS3 with a Wacom Volito 2 tablet.

All done in Photoshop CS3, with a Wacom Volito2

- Don't Panic
This one was more about painting a certain feeling and moment than an actual image. So the image might look random, but it's not.
Time: about...2 hours, yup
Reference used: Cannibal Corpse's video for 'Make them suffer'. Not a big CC fan, but eh..

Excuse the unprofessional halo around the building. I was lazy

How are you anyway?

- Let's put a smile on that face!
I suppose no introduction's necessary, but just for the sake of clarity: This is a portrait of The Joker.
This was an immediate reaction on seeing the movie for the first time.
Usually I have a somewhat clean style of painting/drawing, but I felt a bit of chaos would be appropriate for this one.
Time: 2-3 hours
References: none or several, depending on how you count. This is not based on any specific photos, but quite many were used to figure out how to paint him.
