This is an 18"x18" dye transfer print done on a tin coated with platinum solution. Most of the work is done through error and error, and sometimes results are productive. I did a whole series on animals from the Toledo Zoo through a promotional package in 2005. The tins are very luminous and have a quality that resembles flashy baseball card hologram effects more so than a print. They are fun to do, however very dangerous as platinum and its solution can get hazardous.

I would love to see this in person. What is dangerous about the platinum and the solution? Explosive? Congratulations on the Daily feature!

It's pretty much all of the above, because it's mixed with other all of the above chemistry to make everything lame and deadly. It's not so bad I guess, if people a century ago could do it, I can!
