hehe yeh it's fairly impossible for me to be creative atm, so upped this pic i did last year, looks 100 times better irl.. i dunno why I can't take good pictures of my canvas artwork. got so many laying around that no one has seen.

and thanks for the daily inspiration :)

I bet it looks much better in real life! It's already looking good like this. Hope you'll find your creativity back soon! I miss your work. ;)

What kind of camera do you have?

just an old sony compact cam (normally it takes really decent photos, but with my canvas i just can't get all the details and colors right).

Oh I see, paintings need to be taken without flash and thus you need a cam where you can play with settings, (it's even harder to take a good photo when you have colors that contrast) so if you can't play with those settings maybe try the option with the multi focus point (the cam measures the luminosity in different point to have an average value), but it really depends for each painting. (I try several settings when I take a photo of my paintings) and 1 tip, it's better to take photos in the morning light, because the sun isn't too strong

ya the cam i got, has surprising amounts of settings for what kinda cam it is, so i never use flash, really hate flash in everything :)

thanks, that's a good idea with the morning light ( I'm a night person, so the photos always ends up being taken in lights from different lamps).
and i always end up spending ages in photoshop trying to get it just somewhat ok (i'm happy i know know photoshop very well, but it's never as good as the real thing).
