Meditating Shaman

I make no secret of my being a fan of Spartacus: Blood and Sand as well as it's sequel Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. I'm pretty excited to see the next season. While surfing the net, I chanced upon a certain image of Doctore (a character played by Peter Mensah).

I liked how the scene was lit and I thought the image would be great for a little portrait practice. Here's the result.

I was into fantasy illustration during the time that I painted this (actually I still am right now) so I didn't just copy the reference. I added a few elements of my own. What became of it reminds me of Dhalsim from Street Fighter as well.
