One of the three paintings used in posters for talks given during the 22nd Philippine Advertising Congress. The series of paintings were commissioned from me by Leo Burnett Manila, one of the country's leading advertising agencies.
This year's theme was "Change The Game" so they asked me to execute three paintings reminiscent of art typically done for fantasy-themed games.
The particular talk promoted by this poster was:
Groundswell
A talk by
Charlene Li
Social media guru
Best-selling author
The final print of this poster does have copy on it but I don't have that file because my friends at Leo Burnett took care of copy placement.
This, my friends, is what has kept me off the grid for most of October and early November! It was a very challenging experience because I'm really not used to painting images as large and as detail-heavy as this one. I couldn't have pulled this off within the time frame which I did if not for the guidance of my friends at Leo Burnett. A toast to Mela Advincula, Alvin Tecson, and Carl Urgino!
I really enjoyed doing this series! I was robbed of sleep for many nights but it was worth it! To the people who were able to attend the Ad Congress and saw my artworks in mural form, I hope you liked them!
