A Headdress from Darkness

This work is less about anatomy and more about costume design. Been thinking about a symmetric image which could evoke beauty within a dark mood, also which could look very delicate and feminine.

I wanted something exotic, eccentric and original. So I mixed some different, delicate and transparent textiles to give life to this headdress and the upper part details of her dress. On top of it, I tried to create a strong shape and silhouette.

The exquisite color palette completes the job.

Painted with Painter 12 + Wacom Intuos 3. Had reference for the pose.
