First off, thank you Vincent for participating in the Shadowness website! Thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to answer these questions and share your knowledge with the community! (and for creating my Awesome Avatar!)

Mr. Aseo is a relatively new addition to the Shadowness community. He is knowledgeable in the ways of the Art Industry and has a keen eye for light, detail and expression. His work is on display here at Shadowness ( /Aseo ) and the following sites:
http://www.aseo.deviantart.com
http://www.aseo.tumblr.com
Please give him a warm welcome to the Shadowness Community!
What is your greatest achievement as an artist?
Hmm… for now, that would be being featured in multiple art websites, such as Shadowness.com / DeviantArt.com , Abduzeedo.com and so on. But when I think about it...It's more about being able to reach out to a large audience, inspire and build up other artists. How do you organize your time in order to create effectively?
My time table is really not that complex. During the day, I make sure to feed my creative juices (Viewing art galleries over the net) and to interact with fellow artists and clients. The bulk of my working hours are waaaay past midnight. That way, there's not much noise and I can focus more easily. How long have you been posting and giving critique in internet galleries?
I started way back in 2005 during my college days. Everything was so new to me back then. When I got into the corporate world in 08, work schedules and personal things got the best of my time, forcing me to stop. I just recently got back on-line in the summer of last year. So that makes it 4-5 years now.
What would you suggest for the beginning digital artist to use in terms of software and hardware?
MSpaint! (Laughs) There are a lot of programs and applications out there. Stick to one program first before jumping to another one, know the basics and master it if you must. If you’re a beginner… I would highly suggest using Photoshop first and view tutorial videos. What technology (software/hardware/medium) has had the biggest impact on the production of your Art?
Everything in my gallery is purely Photoshop, I really think it’s a flexible program, (No, I’m not biased!)and contrary to what others believe, I don't use a tablet, (I don't even have one...) Just my good old mouse :)
What do you feel is the most important technical element of your artwork?
I guess it’s more about the combination of colors and additional light sources. I just love to play around and add depth by using glow effects. How did you hear about Shadowness?
A friend of mine wrote on my wall in FB and brought me the news. At first, I thought it wasjust another social networking website. Boy, I was wrong. I signed up and was blown away with the communnity and how interactive the site is. The rest is history. :D
When did you first notice your own style emerging?
At first my style was really screwed up. I did a lot of fan art back then, due to my background as a gamer. I got into vectors in 09, and in the process I've learned to combine the principles of drawing and illustration into it. I guess, It’s safe to say that I’m still in the process of evolving my art. What helped you decide to start your own business and go freelance?
Well, I started doing vectors just for fun. I did all of my friends pictures and was surprised by the waves of requests that followed. I was like, whoa! People are willing to pay for my art! So I thought…Why not make this thing official? I then started off commissioning, gaining more referrals and finally established a network of clients in and out of the country.I would also like to add that my experience in the corporate world gave me enough exposure. This is really important for those who want to venture out on their own. Start off by applying to graphic design companies/studios. Know the industry and the system first and last but not the least, build up your portfolio!
Do you have anything more you’d like to say to the Members of Shadowness?
I would like to thank all the members here in Shadowness for giving me so much support. I honestly feel like there are so many talented artists out there and I really am flattered and a bit overwhelmed by the feedback so far.To /7Shadows and the staff! I would like to commend you guys for keeping such a great website intact. Thank you and God bless all of you! :D
Thank you, /Aseo !
Until next time, /HellOnAStick Apr 6th, 2011
