Traditional and Surreal Artist from Germany When I first discovered paintings by René Magritte and Salvador Dali, I felt touched and intrigued. They have inspired my artistic work to this day. Recently, I’ve also become fascinated by the Swiss artist H.R. Giger. By the surrealism is all about visions, the subconscious, dreams, thoughts, symbols and perceptions. It allows my subconscious to express itself freely, with only minimal interference from the conscious mind. In S. I find artistic freedom. It also enables me to gain insights into myself, my experiences, my thinking, and relationships. Any ability to paint or draw has been developed autodidactically. I see myself in a continuous development which will hopefully lead me to more experience. Many images are born out of playing with symbols, colours, lines, and structures. Most pictures come about subconsciously as I paint without specific prior planning. I rarely know beforehand what would evolve as I give myself to the creative process without any goal orientation. The results often amaze and surprise me.
