I stopped dancing and I started to photograph :-) http://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamara_%C4%8Cern%C3%A1 www.sofig.cz
Jul 23rdI’m a photographer from northern Finland and I consider myself as a serious hobbyist. I got interested in photography around 1995 during the film era and I was shooting on slide film. But soon after that the times evolved, digital imaging emerged and set me back in a sort of way for quite some time. I was busy with my studies and work so photography was left pretty much behind. However I got myself a digital pocket camera but when I think about it now I never had any fun with it. I used it just for ‘documenting’ some situations, trips and so on. I never used it for creating art. I never had any kind of beautiful experience with that camera. It was just like a remote control or a calculator for me. I have always dreamed of being an artist. But a human being is a product of his past and of his home. So I got to be a master of science instead and then I almost forgot what it feels like to really create something until one day in late 2008 I noticed that I could afford proper dSLR equipment and get back in business! I'm trying to find that inner vision I used to have back then. I hope the hectic working life hasn't destroyed all that. I shall end this in my favourite quote: "Anybody who believes in what he sees, is a mystic." - Tuomas Anhava Thank you for taking the time to view my work. It is highly appreciated. JM
Apr 13th, 2011My first encounter with art when I signed up to DeviantArt; I was simply fascinated by the diversity and art displayed there. One of the very first works that I actually added to my favourites was a photomanipulation. It was so amazing that I said to myself, “That’s what I want to do.” Here I am, 5 years later, a pretty accomplished artist. I can honestly say I’ve tried everything in terms of manipulation. I did everything from fantasy to surreal, from landscapes to conceptual art, or went from dark to sci-fi. If I were to pick one genre, I probably couldn’t. I like to have a broad vision about everything and hate to have to stick to patterns. I like experimenting with Photoshop and learning more and more everyday.

May 15th, 2011Born in 1975 in Switzerland as the only daughter of two photographers I was lucky enough to inherit the passion for creativity of my parents and started drawing before I was able to walk. However different interests prevented me from drawing until a few years ago. Ever since then I have been working for all different clients, painting illustrations for trading card games, game box covers, book covers, posters or concept art for games and movies. I have been working eagerly on my self tought skills for a few years now. My strong sides are character concepts and design. However I am constantly working on improving my skills and branching out in all different aspects of digital painting. I am currently living in sunny Greece with my boyfriend and Art Director Henning Ludvigsen and working as freelance artist for several gaming companies and private commissioners if I am not writing tutorials for books or magazines.
