Oct 24thI'm 27 years old and of Laotian nationality. More about me: I fell in love with art since I was a child. Art has always been my strong subject at school. Sailor moon was my first inspiration to draw manga style. I have not posted my old works yet -- perhaps another day. Secondly, Final Fantasy (VII-VIII-X-XII-XIII) was my inspiration for digital art and fantasy characters. Recently, I have been in love with photography. I have a thirst for improvement. Oct 30th, 2007Lowbrow is a widespread populist art movement with origins in the underground comix world, punk music, hot-rod street culture, and other subcultures. Lowbrow art often has a sense of humor - sometimes the humor is gleeful, sometimes impish, and sometimes it is a sarcastic comment. The single most common tactic that Lowbrow artists employ is to poke fun at convention. They know the "rules" of art, and consciously choose not to abide by them. If the test of time for legitimacy (as an artistic movement) means that Lowbrow speaks/spoke, in visual terms, to the millions of us who share a common cultural, symbolic language - albeit a "lower" or "middle" class, media-driven language - then, yes, Lowbrow is here to stay. Anthropologists will probably study Lowbrow in the future, to attempt to figure out late 20th and early 21st century U.S. societal influences.

Animals and photography have long been my largest passions so it was only natural that I combine the two. I enjoy new things and meeting new people. I am not afraid to try or see new things. I hope to better my photography skills as I go and I know I have come a long way since I first started.

May 17th, 2011I'm quite the amateur for now, but I work to improve with every picture that I make. I do anything from painting animals and scenes digitally in Photoshop, to drawing realistic still-lifes in graphite. I'm still in highschool for now, but I am attending a graphic arts highschool for the next two years, so I hope to learn a lot and apply it when I go to college!
