Thank you very much. I don't get as many comments on this painting compared to my brighter more colorful ones. I guess you like subtle color. I'm glad. This painting is one of my personal favorites. I especially enjoyed spontaneously creating the organic 'petunia' shapes in the foreground.
Thank you. I drew the 'cosmic petunias' shapes in the foreground back in the late 1970's after being inspired by the great animated movie, "Fantastic Planet". 30 years later in 2008 when I was looking at my old drawing I decided to do a painting of them in an appropriate misty garden landscape.
