One of the first images from the earlier days of my photography. This was taken back in 2008 in Japan after getting my first entry-level dSLR. Looking back from now, I felt it was not as well taken and could be improved in so many ways...
I thought the human silhouettes at the base of the gate gave it a sense of scale and also created an interesting effect.
Gives me an urge to want to visit each prefecture once more...

You mean inspiration for photography? It can come from many places, magazines I happen to come across, songs from my favourite band, Japanese photographers and local photographers. It does not have to be landscape photos or landscape photographers, but all of them contribute some inspiration. What about yours?
