I love these kinds of articles! Very nicely put together!
And thanks for putting my comments in there!
Absolutely. Thanks for being an awesome member.
May 2nd, 2011Great to encourage artists to help support each other by sharing their knowledge through guides, and their thoughts through considered commenting.
My tutorials are in html format or else a series of slides, don't know if the site here can accommodate them at this time? But maybe in the future, or else I could convert them.
Thanks for including some of my work here, as well.
It's not easy to feature HTML tutorials but you can always post them like mine. http://shadowness.com/7Shadows/design-your-iphone-widgets
May 2nd, 2011great choices :) always a treat to see the amazing quality of shadowness artists!
May 2nd, 2011Ah cool Meng, that may work for converting my slideshow walkthroughs to something workable here :] *though might be issues with max width* ... Probably not applicable to my html guides which are too long without pagination - and *with working example files* exceed my upload limit by a couple mb even as a zipped download. But still, good idea to try it your way.
May 2nd, 2011Thank you for including my work in this article

We're very interested getting artists to network in order to improve their art by learning new techniques and sharing critiques and tutorials. One of the most important ways that we accomplish this is while commenting. Artists love to hear what you like or do not like about their work. Dislikes help them see their artwork in a new light and likes point out their strengths and details that they may not have noticed. Comments such as ‘it’s great!’ are very encouraging, but they don’t inspire learning and growth. As a community; we should act as such and draw on all of our knowledge in order to comment and critique effectively.
Here are some examples of great comments and responses :
The Abandoned Sanatorium by Damien-CGaudi's Arches by Strum
Perspective Dissention by Wroth
Stone Cold by Dynnnad
Shimmering Blues by MayFong
Tutorials are another great way to reach out and support the community. Creating and posting tutorials helps raise the quality of the site, by increasing the ways that we can educate each other internally, without having to resort to leaving the site to find information. If you have tutorials that you have created, please upload them and add the /tutorials tag, so that everyone can find them easily!
Please check out our awesome tutorials and upload your own!
