I'm working on a painting right now and all I seem to be able to listen to while painting is Apocalyptica.

I recommend Alias Sketch Pro (or I suppose the Autodesk equivalent nowadays) for those wanting drawing applications. As for 3d, I'd say Blender 3d works very well since it is free and relatively simple. Also, for those beginning 3d, I'd say that Blender works well because if you decide that 3d is not for you later on in your course of usage, it's not a waste of $300

Yes, the image upload process is when you choose the picture file, before you submit. If it doesn't upload, maybe try again. Usually it will tell you an error if there is one.

Ok maybe this is something then.. I'm trying to upload an image but efter i've chosen the picture.. it just gets stuck on loading and i've left it like that for 30 minutes now.. no change. So basically it ain't working, atleast not for me anyhow

I might come out dumb but where do you view peoples uploaded pictures? all i see now is the top posts on the frontpage. If there is one other place to view like.. latest uploads of popular or whatever shouldnt it be a bit more easy to find?

I like the new design, It can be a bit tricky to understand at first but eventually you get it. Well i only hope now that people become more active! Bring Shadowness back to life... i can't go do shitty sites like deviantart or whatever.. to me its always been Shadowness ;)

On the home feed, could be seen a little confusing where it's showing a snippet of a forum post and doesnt say "read more" or the like at the bottom.

The last forum topic I made, only 1 of the 4 links turned into a link.

And would be cool to be able to reply to peoples status' under their own status. Makes more sense to other people reading rather than replying on each others profiles.

I'd like to keep this topic active for everyone to report bugs / usability / loading issues.

On a side note, I fixed the biggest loading problem that has plagued us since the Shadowness 8 launch. It was a mod-rewrite script that replaces "images not found" by a default avatar. This single bug was the reason why our sweet launch was interrupted for 20 mins, and for the site for NOT loading for minutes, or even close to an hour almost every day since.

There will be new skins, new customization features and improvements in the stability. I'd like to ask everyone to stay patient as I roll out many of the features we loved from the previous versions. Of course, you are free to request by participating. That is the best way to restore the community to its former glory and seek expansion for the site to find success.

I would have to disagree tbh, I think it's very clean and simple and suits it's purpose well. Perhaps in older versions there were more fancy graphics surrounding the site, but this new approach just brings more focus the the art itself.

It might just be a design that will grow on you, who knows... But guess you can't please everyone unfortunately.

Sorry to hear that you dislike the new design -- I guess it's hard to please everyone, including myself. Regarding your point about the previous versions, Shadowness has always switched back and forth from white to dark. If you remember V3, Shadowness 8 is definitely paying homage to that version.

It's a bit harsh because when I released the screens of the new design (and we had it for months), almost no one had complaints about the new design and they almost all said they liked it, and now, we're just throwing critics at the harshest moment for me.

Anyways, thanks for your honesty and again, sorry to hear that you dislike the new design. Perhaps, an alternative dark skin would please you.

Also, if you can post specifics, maybe I can adjust more to your liking and the community's. Let's not forget we're a community.

Wow, never thought i would dislike any version of SN... i know most of you put a lot of work into this Beta Version.. but I am not liking it at all personally... its too erm.. ipodish looking or feel. SN has always had its own style and detailed aesthetics. Oh well, its just me venting but I was so used to the older/better versions of SN.

Tricks make sure you clear your browser cache, then the problem should be fixed, whenever you upload a new profile picture make sure you do this or you'll just see the old photo.
