Shadowness For The Win Contests WINNERS

When we planned this contest, we wanted to give back to the community. It would be a friendly competition that would help promote excitement and fun around the theme of Shadowness. We wanted a LOT of winners. That's why it was called For the Win.

We came up with a points system we thought was fair. We wanted to test the waters. What we did not expect was how successful the contest would be among the artists and how many gems would come out of it. While we think that most contests are hardly fair in the end, we still think we could have come up with a more balanced voting system. But, we do believe in the power of the community. Now, without further ado, here are the winners picked by YOU, the community.

PRIZES

There are 9 categories and 3 winners in each category. For 1st place 50$ will be awarded, for second place 25$ will be awarded and, 25$ for third place.
Prizes Total 1,500$!
9 Winners will be issued a 1-year subscription!
All 27 Winners will be issued a Shadowness t-shirt.
All 27 Winners will be promoted in a Shadowness Daily Feature.
All 27 Winners will be issued a Contest Certificate.

1. Wallpaper Contest

Official Shadowness Wallpaper Design. Must be exclusive to Shadowness. Entries must be 2560x1440 px resolution. All mediums are accepted and encouraged. Winner entries will be picked to as Shadowness official Wallpapers: /wallpapers

5. Photography Contest

Dark art that is Shadowness Related. Definition of Dark Art: Primarily a product of the 20th Century, dark art is an art style defined as that being unsettling in nature. Called and classified under many names such as gothic, horror, metaphysical, nightmarish, and disturbing, it is actually a culmination of techniques and styles. Entries must be 1024x768 px resolution to be considered.

9. Best Page Design Contest

Best design of a Shadowness User page. This will be determined by Facebook Likes on your page from April 1st, 2011 until May 21, 2011. Facebook Likes count as 1 point and Judges Likes count as 5 points. Points will be tallied on the first of May and reported on May 5th with all other contest winners.
