The Goddess Nyx. Nox in Latin translation – is the Greek goddess (or personification) of the night. A shadowy figure, Nyx stood at or near the beginning of creation, and was the mother of other personified gods such as Hypnos (Sleep) and Thánatos (Death). Her appearances in mythology are sparse, but reveal her as a figure of exceptional power and beauty. She is found in the shadows of the world and only ever seen in glimpses. This idea came about roughly a year ago after coming back from GenCon 2011. There were sketches and doodles made, then finally linework (twice, first version didn't work out), and put aside for a few months because I couldn't figure out the colors. Finally took her back out again and had worked on her on and off since May.
