marietta

by dittto in water

snow level keeps rising and rising can only mean one thing for me..its waterfall season! thought id start off the year tackling some falls i havent ventured to yet..my first venture out led me to Marietta Falls. always unsure of water flow and actual height of a new place..Marietta did not upset at all. after fording the stream twice and scaling a twenty foot cliff..the high flow of marietta came into view and took my breath away. the size, the atmoshpere..the seclusion was the perfect way to start off the season, though there will be many revisits to this amazing place :) one more waterfall checked on my list..900+ to go!

a spring fall.... not the gentle murmure of a summer's fall.... i am sure the sound was a heavy boom.... this also shows the move of the water.... ... to be 'one' with nature.... to listen to no other sound than this boom, is awesome... and your capture relates to all this awesomeness..... it is a gate to the miracles of nature for all of us who can't be there...... thank you so very much for letting us virtually take part of this magic scenery!

Love the amount of detail and color visible beneath the water, those rocks are just gorgeous! ..very typical of your ability to bring into view what is typically "unseen"! also very impressed with how much detail is still visible in the shadows too, that i can still see the ferns clinging for dear life to the cliff. an all around impressive image, Addam...and i must say, I can't wait to try my hand at scaling the 20 ft cliff!
