from last year, i did some concepts for the HL2 athena-mod project.
we wanted to introduce vertical cambat in a new way...
this was supposed to become the mainmenu background, but it ain't really finished. i dug this out this morning and tweaked it here and there...
it's basically the rise and fall of the new world.

I really love the details on the debris. I'm not sure about incorporation the characters like that, but it does look a bit movie-poster.
