Fantastic capture, and I love the title. I've been dying to do some urban exploring and photography, but I can't seem to find a suitable location around here!
thank you!
as i said in the previous replies this was the most scarying shot..urban exploration it's funny but very hard to do.
but the results are always great..you could snap some serious masterpiece in the right place.
no way!
i was thinking the same thing when i saw this house, but i just can't resist when i saw this kind of things.
my tip is to take care of any place suitable for some shots,go there on a sunday morning (people love to sleep :D ) and do a quick thing.
sneak inside, take a look around, snap everything you can and sneak outside soft and smooth.
adrenaline will save you from fear :D
Oh wow - that is pretty scary! Interesting that someone living in these conditions can afford cigarettes, but I guess they have mixed up priorities which probably got them in this situation to begin with. Sad.
thank you!
another scary thing was that the other side of this room was completely burned with melted prints hangin' on the wall..pretty nice location indeed.

Great photo! This type of thing always makes me wonder about the last moments people spent there and why they left.
Apr 19th, 2011 Replydavideferrari
i'm not really sure that they had left when i took this...we (me and a friend) saw a light upstairs and ran outside like the wind :D
Apr 19th, 2011 Replyit was a bit scarying place, and that collection of empty cigarettes pack it's just tricky.

That's what I call "persuing the photograph". The thrill of the moment you thought you were going to "get caught" shows in this frame. Well done!
