What A Rush

by dSnider in Long Exposures

This was one of those "get setup and only get one exposure off" kinda situations. One shot after getting the ND400 screwed on and the color was gone.

Beautiful thoughts and words Barbara! I appreciate them VERY much. This is one of my "go to" spots very near my home. So I shoot here a lot if I don;t have a lot of time to make another location. Sunrise and set shots aren't easy to find in Northern Alabama due to all the trees and rolling hills. So when you find a good open location near your home...you see it a lot. HAHA! It is a perfect spot for you to take a seat and dream away my friend! So glad you enjoyed it!

hmmm.... you have trees and rolling hills which disturb a sun set..... i have buildings..... :-((((( switzerland is so crowded... all you can see is cities, towns, motor ways...... or we have big mountains i don't dare to climb (anymore) ...... just some little nature around the ariport where i often go for a walk and of course to take photos...... an awesome place, a little 'oasis' you understand my longing for the sea..............
your works are filling my soul.... dreams of pristine nature and timeless time......
we once travelled from Alaska through Yukon to Vancouver and down south all along the west coast..... the 101..... this memories of glorious nature feeds me still now !
I know a little bit about Alabama from literature..... it must be also a very special landscape......

thank you so much for sharing your wonderful place and letting me sit there and dream..... golden dreams......

Feel free to stop by my place here anytime and have a visit my friend. The 101 is an amazing drive! I have seen the West Coast as well. The Southeast is kinda off the radar when it comes to natural beauty. But we sure have it. So many people feel they need to travel to great distances or be at well known locations to get a good shot. But I love being able to have my own little oasis as you have to find beauty in. We are all surrounded by beauty somehow or way...we just have to open our eyes and see it.

aww..... your words are of deepest essence...... yes Dennis.... you are so very right..... that's why i often take my bicycle and do the ride to 'my place'...... 'my' little oasis......
thank you so much to remind me on these essential truths....

Well I will see if I can come up with something to upload this morning that will add to your day! :D Perhaps an older shot of WARMER times. Its raining and cold here today. Which I love in its on way don't get me wrong. LOL! I honestly love standing out in some of the farmlands that surround me.....epic sky above and a simple farm pond in the foreground. Knowing I will probably be the only person to ever get a shot from there. But I do LOVE seeing the big name wonders of the world to. I don't care how many times something has been shot, it's still beautiful. But for most of us we can't always be at those kind of locations. So we make do and find a deep love for what we have around us if we are doing it for the right reasons.

So very well put in that last line my friend. :) I couldn't agree with you more. And yes it was the Heron shot and the Starfish! I figured we could use a double dose of warmth! I have had 4 cups of tea today to soooo. You are most welcome my friend and I hope you had a good day for sure!
