DOesn't seem to matter what coast you can be on either...the sea has magical effects on the mind and body to me. I go as often as I can. It's a 5 hour drive to the Florida coast for me but I go quite often. I find myself constantly smiling when I am there.

yes.... and the sea is so very liberating.... and one feels archaic timelessness...... yes....it has magical effects...

I am very lucky to have mountains within a days drive above me and sandy beaches the same below me. I hope you are able to get to the sea soon my friend!
