Skywalk

by dSnider in Nature

Nice cloud structure and not breath of wind gave me this pretty cool effect one morning on the Coosa River near my home. I visit this place often. Love it there. :)

We all have to sleep in every now and then. Hehe. But sunrise is my very favorite time of day for shooting. If you are shooting a pretty sky, you have to be in your spot before daylight to be set up and ready. Then you wait for the first light to break the horizon, all the wildlife begins to stir and the birds start their early morning songs. (Again....I feel very lucky to live in the middle of nowhere as I do. LOL!) Then you simply wait and watch while Mother Nature paints her picture above you. I love watching her work.

I agree... Yeah, they said the perfect time to do a shoot is before the sun shines and sets... such amazing color the sky can give to you, as well as the lighting... you are lucky indeed! no cables and buildings that blocks the beatiful view...

Very true! There aren't near as many cables running around here than in the cities. Oh yes! Those are certainly the favorable time of day for landscape photography. :)

Aha, aha... I was itching to take the shot of the late afternoon. almost evening clouds yesterday, I badly wanted to share it with you guys, you know that blanket of clouds up there then there's a couple of openings, sunlight beaming out from it... I was just contented to look at it. Reason why can't share it, my good ol pal gone missing... I'm still broken hearted, haven't found my cam yet...

:( I am so sorry to hear that! I hope you and your camera can be reunited very soon! At least you got to see a beautiful sky and that is never a waste I say.

Oh! Gorgeous - I could write poetry about this shot! I love the reflections, the interruptions of 'real world objects' (the pier & mountains) that make the reflected clouds seem deeper.

Thank you so much my friend! Thats means a lot to me. Knowing you inspire someone is amazing! I am always on the look out for piers and docks. I use them a lot in my shots. Mainly because that also mean an open view of the sky! LOL! We have so many trees around here.

Ha! How can you have 'too many trees'!! Sadly, I'm not all that near open water, and have too much work on at the moment to go find it. & it's too hot to go walking anyway. It;s a beautiful photo :-)

To many trees means not a lot of open views of the skies. Well I am hoping things will cool off enough for you soon my friend! Thanks again!

Thank you Barbara!! I do love B&W even though I mostly upload color. (Unless there's fog in it. HAHA) I've got so many shots from this little pier. I am sure you will see a more colorful side of it soon as well. I got a fun long exposure there at first light one morning.
